Hello! We’re John and Kelly. We got married in August 2016 and two months later left our jobs, moved out of our apartment in Baltimore, and kicked off the adventure of a lifetime. We traded our wedding hashtag (#jkweregettingmarried) for this blog to share adventures, tips, stores, and pictures from around the world.

We traveled full-time for nearly a year, visiting 20 countries in Asia, Africa, Oceania, and North America.  Along the way, we fulfilled some major bucket list dreams like hiking the Great Wall of China, scuba diving on the Great Barrier Reef in Australia, and so many in between.

We returned to the “real world” in the summer of 2017 with a commitment to balance building roots in a city we love with seeing as much of the world as possible. Despite having full-time jobs (and the limited PTO day that come with them), we are working slowly but surely to prioritize travel since it’s become such an important part of our lives. We hope this blog can encourage other travel-lovers that it is possible to do both!
